As the year 2020 came to a close, the performance of theme park applications in the United Kingdom saw diverse trends, as reported by Sensor Tower. The following is a summary of how the top five theme park apps fared in the fourth quarter of the year.

Alton Towers Resort — Official experienced a peak in downloads in October, reaching nearly 12K before declining sharply to just under 100 in subsequent weeks. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with a high of over 17K in October, dropping to around 7.6K by the end of December.

THORPE PARK Resort – Official also saw its highest downloads in October, with over 10K downloads, but this figure fell to double digits in the following months. Active user counts mirrored this trajectory, peaking at 12.4K and falling to 1.2K by year's end.

LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort downloads showed a similar peak and decline, with a high of 5.7K in October and tapering off to a few dozen in December. Weekly active users decreased from a high of 11.2K to just 2.7K in the same period.

Chessington Resort had a modest downloads peak of 4.7K in October, which then declined to just tens of downloads. Weekly active users saw a high of 7.3K in October, declining to 3.2K by the end of December.

My Disney Experience, unlike the others, generated some revenue, with a small peak of $61K in the first week of November. Downloads and weekly active users showed less volatility, with downloads peaking at 578 in the final week of December and active users reaching a high of 2.6K in October.
